Lori Smith, Regional Coordinator
Hello, Central California ringers!
I'm your new Central California Regional Coordinator as of October 2011. Here's a little bit of background information on me.
I discovered handbell ringing as a high schooler in my local church in Southern California. Subsequent moves and my work schedule took me in and out of the handbell world for several years. The "in between" times were filled with participation in college choir, various church choirs, two additional church bell choirs, and ten years of International and Vintage Folk Dance (ok...so it's not handbells...it's still art).
Upon relocating to Northern California (after two years in Brooklyn, New York), I sang with the Stockton Chorale. My passion for music is now fed by ringing with Opus Handbell Ensemble in Modesto. And I am now able to participate more in the wider world of handbells. I appreciate the opportunity to serve as your Central California Regional Coordinator, and I look forward to meeting more of you and ringing with you in the future!
