SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S THIRD ANNUAL SPRING RING 18 March 2006

Southern California's third annual SPRING RING is coming shortly.
Registration deadline for the lower price is 02-15-2006.  The host ringers
and earliest registrations will be placed in the front of the rehearsal
room unless you request otherwise.

Guest Conductor: William Kyle, Chair-elect of Area XII, Director of Bay Bells and auditioned community handbell ensemble in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This piece was a part of the original program. William would still like to
offer this piece if there are those who would like to play it. He included
this piece to be a "stretch" piece.   It is a beautiful piece ~ and a Level
5.  Would some of you like to play it as part of learning new approaches to
challenging music - during massed rehearsal?  Or would you like to defer
this piece to another event, another time?

*****Remember solo selections by participating choirs are welcomed,
encouraged and A valued part of the day so think of a piece you might like
to play as a part of the concert portion of the day.  You may wish to play
selections you are preparing for Easter!

AREA XII RINGERS' AND YOUNG RINGERS' CONFERENCES 2006

By now all AGEHR members will have received the registration forms and
information for the Area XII Belmont Conference.  Registration currently is
280.  Capacity is 350 so there is still room!  Get your registrations in
early so you don't miss out on this exciting event.

first then events in other regions of Area XII to give you an idea of all
that is going on around our area.  For this e-newsletter those events
taking place through March 20006 have more detail than those for later
dates.  However, all contact information is included for all events.





SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Ringing Opportunities ~ looking ahead:

09-09-2006 READ & RING, A LEVEL 1 & 2 WORKSHOP WITH NANCY JESSUP.  This
event is a follow-up to the successful September 2005 Level 1 & 2 workshop
held in San Marcos which Nancy directed.

LOCATION: Mira Mesa Presbyterian Church, 8081 Mira Mesa Blvd., San Diego
92126.
TIME: 8:30am - 3:30pm
 You may register as a group or as individuals.  Music assignments will be
given out on arrival.  Nancy will soon have the list music selections
available & would like to have music purchased ahead of the event.  We will
try to have additional copies will be available for purchase the day of the
event for those who need them.  This event is designed for directors and
ringers who would like to better understand their directors.


10-21-2006 DIRECTORS WORKSHOP "HOW YOU COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR RINGERS TO GET
BEAUTIFUL RESULTS!: It's much much more than words.  LEE WAGGENER WILL BE
THE CLINICIAN FOR THIS DIRECTORS WORKSHOP. How the directors gestures
communicate to the ringer, identifying the pulse clearly, what do Ringers
need to see, to hear, to feel to ring musically.

LOCATION:  Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church, 2128 Chatsworth Blvd.,
San Diego 92107
TIME: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Lee Waggener, immediate past-chair of AGEHR, Area XII and Co-Director of the
Handbell Program at  the United Church of Christ, Congregational in
Claremont, California.  Lee has a great deal of experience directing
handbell ensembles, large and small and a lot of wisdom to impart for
directors from the relatively new to the very experienced.

includes California, Guam, Hawaii and Nevada ~ the following events in Area
